He is survived by: his wife Connie Bates; his children, Carriann Lane (Christopher), James Alex Carlson (Christine), Sarah Degroot and Desirae Zacharias; his grandchildren, Kayleigh, Mackenzie, Killian, Lauren and Devin; his great grandchild Ella; his sister Joy Ottensmeyer (Mike); and his pet Chloe.
