He is survived by: his children, Shannon Jager, Stephanie McDonald and George McDonald; his grandchildren, Destiny, Zach, Serenity, Brent, Sadie and Shane; his great grandchildren, Zander, Zoey and Zatan; and his siblings, Lorna, Colleen, Joanie and John. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions in James' name may be made to the Muskegon Humane Society.
