She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Walsama and Grace Walsama (Witte). She is survived by: her husband Bill; her children, Gary Bird (Sandy) and Kate Arnold (Mike); her siblings, Ken Walsama (Penny), Bill Walsama (Lynn), Sandy Buhl (Ray) and Lori Spring; and her in-laws, Edna Sims (Bob), Betty Wright, Lawrence Afton and Paula Gould (Kerry). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her honor may be made to Harbor Hospice or the American Lung Association.
