He was predeceased by: his parents, Abel VanDyke and Lucille VanDyke (Matthews); his wife Phyllis Wagenmaker; his son Gordon VanDyke; and his stepdaughter Patricia Roach.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Brondyke (Paul), Gerilyn Justus (Rick), Gary VanDyke (Jodi) and Jack VanDyke (Lisa); his stepsons, Michael Roach (Janet) and Terry Roach (Sandi); and his brothers, Joel VanDyke and Jerry VanDyke (Val). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
