He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kenney and Anna Kenney (Wickham); and his sister Barbara Kenney. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Paynter; his children, Ann Meisch (Jeff), Randy Kenney (Heather), William Kenney (Tasha), Julia Jones (Curtis) and Angela Kenney (Lee Longmire); his stepchildren, Ralph Sibley, Doug Sibley (Anna) and Denise Trotter (Anthony); and his sister Katheryn McPherson (Gordon). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
