With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard E. Swanson of Muskegon, Michigan, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl William and Ingeborg Swanson (Lorentzen); his brothers, Carl William and John Alan Swanson; his former wife Jean Miller Swanson; and his daughter-in-law Laurel Albers.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Swanson (Hansen); his children, Mark Howard and Lynne Swanson; his son-in-law Gary Ralph of East Lansing; his son Matthew Frank; his daughter-in-law Cindy Visscher of Holland; his son John Thomas; his daughter-in-law Robin Swanson of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Jesse Matthew Swanson (Marley Swanson) of Muskegon, Cassandra Nastase (Kenny Nastase) of Muskegon, Grace Juncaj (Gjeka Juncaj) of Muskegon and Ben Swanson-Ralph (Megan MacKenzie) of New York City; his great grandchildren, Lucille Grace Nastase, Emilia Rene Nastase and Kasher John Swanson; his brother Larry Oscar; his sisters-in-law, Tanya Swanson of Kansas City and Joleen Swanson; his pet Retriever; and also, Jack Moreland of Minneapolis and Marilyn.
