He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther VanHuis and Helen VanHuis; and his son Howard VanHuis Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Donna VanHuis (Adams); his daughter Heidi (Bryan Leenheer); his grandchildren, Heather, Ken Schreur, Hunter Geurink and Catherine VanHuis; his great grandchild Aveline Schreur; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia, Robert Rietveld, Sandra Adams, Corbet and Marsha Adams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
