He was predeceased by: his sister Kathleen Kline. He is survived by: his wife Cindy of Whitehall; his children, Amanda Alberts (Sean) of Sparta, April Edsall of Texas and Derek Edsall of Whitehall; his brothers, James Edsall (Cheryl), Charles "Chuck" Edsall (Cathy) and Robert "Bert" Edsall; and his aunt Shirley Rosema of Norton Shores. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
