He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Lester and Clancie Lester (Pollard); his son Kenneth Houston; his grandson Elishua Pinegar; and his sister Darlene "Pat" McDaniel.
He is survived by: his children, Mont'e Townsel and Reco Townsel; his grandchildren, Qourtney Smith, Chniece Houston and Isaiah Hines; and his siblings, John Lester, Sandra Lester, Phyllis Tucker (Edwin), Arthur Lester and Jarvis Lester (Betty). He is also survived by great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
