He was predeceased by: his parents, William F. Sattory and Thelma R. Sattory (Schliewe); and his sister Sheila VanderScheer. He is survived by: his wife Lois A. Judd; his children, SherriSue Ann Johnson (James Jr.) and Gerald LeRoy "Jerry" Sattory II (Amy); his grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Erin Johnson, Elliot Johnson, Paige Crouch (Alex) and Rae Sattory; his great grandchildren, Keith Woolery and Reaghan Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Roy VanderScheer, Bob Judd (Berniece "Red"), Mae Konya and MaryLou Judd.
