He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smith and Zada Smith (Swikert); his wife Lucille Visscher; his sons, Steve and Doug Smith; his great grandchild Garrett Frazier; and his siblings, Lawrence, Russell, Merle Smith and Dorothy Bargerstock.
He is survived by: his children, Christi DeLong (Bradley), Kathy Smith and Karen Smith; and his sister Lucile Wawrzyniak. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
