She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerritt Timmer and Jennie Timmer (Meyers); her husband Joseph; and her sisters, Anne, Jean and Geraldine.

She is survived by: her children, Douglas Potter (Lori), Michael Potter (Gloria), Joseph Potter III (Angie) and Pamela Vandyke; her brother-in-law Bill Toman; and her grandchildren, Edith Trena Potter, George, Jessi, Rebekah and Michelle. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
