He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Vries and Alma De Vries (Vander Lugt); and his grandparents, Harry, Hilda De Vries (Huizenga), Hubert and Grace Vander Lugt (Verbrugge).
He is survived by: his children, Ryan De Vries, Melissa Buit (De Vries), Leveda Harris (De Vries), Cedric De Vries and Ayana De Vries; his former wife Linda De Vries; and his siblings, Jane Reynhout (De Vries) and Carl De Vries (Kathy). He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
