He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Wieten and Mary "Dolly" Wieten (Jorgensen); his wife Kathryn A. Perry; his sons, David Wieten (Rachel) of Muskegon and Daniel Wieten (Chris) of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Josh and Josse Wieten; and his brothers, Ben Wieten (Lola) of Grand Haven, Bruce Wieten (Sherry) of White Cloud and Darrell Wieten (Pamela) of Muskegon. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
