Donald Burdette Mulder Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mr. Donald Burdette Mulder, beloved Father and Grandfather, age 85. He passed away early Monday morning, December 3, 2018, in Muskegon, Michigan. He was born November 2, 1933 to John and Iva (Kelley) Mulder in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Don served his country honorably as U.S. Army veteran in the Korean War, and had worked for the U.S. Postal Service before retiring. He had also worked for Brinks and volunteered for the Twin Lake Fire Department, displaying a wonderful knack for helping others. He was a man of high integrity who lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasures, including hunting, fishing, and traveling, with a passion for the Detroit Tigers and the Red Wings. He is survived by his wife, Gloria; 2 sons: Donald and Michael; 2 sisters: Joyce (Dick) Arnouts and Phyllis Lords; 4 Grandchildren: Nick (Alyson) Mulder, Neil (Nina) Mulder, Amanda Mulder, and Jacob (Ashli Botbyl) Mulder; and 5 Great-grandchildren: Cole, Delaney, Elsie, Jackson, and Benjamin Mulder. He was preceded in death by a brother: Gerald Mulder.
The funeral service will be Friday, December 7, at 11:00 AM, with full Military honors, at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Twin Lake Cemetery.
