He is survived by: his wife Susan; his children, Andrea Adamson (Chad) of Muskegon, Hans Heaton (Jeannie) of Arkansas and Dennis Heaton Jr. (Dana) of Texas; his sister Valerie Kauffman (Tom) of Muskegon; and his father-in-law Richard Phillips (Esther) of Muskegon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
