She was predeceased by: her parents, Cornelius Huizenga and Josephine Huizenga; her husband Carlton Thisse; her daughter Marigie Gratton; her granddaughter-in-law Beth Anne Thisse; her siblings, John Huizenga, Kathleen Newton (Howell) and Lorraine Deppen (Jack); and her brother-in-law Tom Copeyon.

She is survived by: her sons, Alan Thisse (Joyce) and Larry Thisse (Venita); her son-in-law Bob Gratton; her grandchildren, Laurie (Joe), Douglas (Sunshine), Brian (Christina), Phillip (Carla), Michael (Holly), Matthew (Angie) and Mark (Tiffany); and her sister-in-law Verona "Roni" Huizenga. She is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
