He was predeceased by: his mothers, Shirley James and Betty June Powers (McGreoger); his son Daniel Powers; and his sister Shirley Henry. He is survived by: his former wife Linda Jane Mangino; his wife Linda J. Powers; his sons, David James Powers II (Allison), Michael John Powers (Nancy), John Joseph Powers and James Christopher Powers; and his nieces and nephews, Eileen Cerrero, Linda Henry, Walter Henry, Jr. and Douglas Henry. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
