He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his son Matthew Yakes of Montague; his grandchildren, Katherine A. Yakes and Alexander J. Yakes; and his sisters, Mary Payne of Montague and Kathrine Yakes of Port Huron, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
