It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Clarence Anthony Gaertner (Muskegon, Michigan), born in Saginaw, Michigan, who passed away on July 29, 2018, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Joseph Gaertner; his sisters, Lawrence, Edward, Joseph, Helen Reimer, Alfrieda Jarabeck, Theresa Bremer, Clara Watchko and Marion Ederer; his stepbrother Clarence Rodeitcher; and his granddaughters, Lisa Gaertner and Lori Gaertner.
He is survived by: his parent Anna Gaertner (Wineicke); his spouse Katherine Papst; his children, Clarence "Sonny" Gaertner II (Nancy) of Muskegon, MI, Dorothy Kretz (Harold) of Saginaw, MI and Susan Gaertner of Saginaw, MI; and his great grandchildren, Brenda Wilson (Marty), Katherine, Nicholas, Brian Kretz (Jaime), Jocelyn, Julia, Jeremiah, Eric Gaertner (Anne), Keegan, Douglas Gaertner (Anne), Abbi, Amelia, Christi LaFond (Adam), Aiden, Alaina, Jeff Gaertner (April), Junior and Jonah.
