He was predeceased by: his parents, June and Chancey; his former wife Pamela (Linda Martin); his son Charles Martin Cooper; and his brother Richard Cooper.

He is survived by: his daughters, Portia North (Harry), Jamie Wheeler (Thomas) and Teresa; and his siblings, Linda, Gloria, Portia, Susie and Pat. He is also survived by grandchildren; great-grandchildren.
