As we bid Carol Ann farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Carol Ann is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Phyllis (Johnson). She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Vanas; her daughter Melissa Pfenning (Joe); her grandchildren, Travis Pfenning, David Pfenning (Sierra) and Joy Pfenning; her great grandchild Ace; and her siblings, Sandra Lager, Nancy Johnson, Kathy Hall (Glenn) and Robert (Diana). She is also survived by Grams; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clock Funeral Home (1469 Peck St, Muskegon, MI 49441). A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Samuel Lutheran Church (540 Houston Ave, Muskegon, MI 49441).
