He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Minor Gilbert and Alve Lee Gilbert; and his grandparents, Minor Sr., Martha Gilbert, Ocie and Olivia Biddle.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Gilbert Sr. of Muskegon, MI., Jerry Gilbert (Jamaesha) of Muskegon, MI., Glen Gilbert (Regina) of Muskegon, MI. and Ester Gilbert of Grand Rapid, MI.. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, his adoring great nieces, nephews, several beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
