It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty J. Townsend Ohs (Muskegon, Michigan), who passed away on February 2, 2022, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Backer and Theodora Backer (Dobson); her former husband Richard "Dick" Townsend; her husband Donald Ohs; her brother Lee Dobson; her sisters-in-law, June "Windy" Backer and Cathy Dobson; and her close friend Betty Fairris.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Townsend Hale (Stan), Diane Townsend Kerekes and Lyle Townsend (Tara); her grandchildren, Tami David (Scott Boyd), Janelle Larder (Andrew), Stanley Hale III (Tiffany), Scott Lasley, Ryan Townsend (Erin), Kristi Torres (Ronald), Jason Kerekes (Angela Hall), Nicholas Townsend (Kati Cole) and Lauren Gilbert; her brother Richard "Lefty" Backer; and her close friends, Rich, Jill McMahon, Dave and Carol Anderson. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
