He was predeceased by: his parents, Nick Bolema and Marjorie Bolema (VandenBosch); his wife Karen Elizabeth Hedberg; and his brothers, Charles Bolema, Donald Bolema and Kenneth Bolema.
He is survived by: his daughters, Holly Hughes (Rick), Dianne Smrcina (Tom) and Charlotte Breit (Darren); his grandchildren, Morgan Hughes, Taylor Hughes (Jonah Ogles), John Gibbs (Kristen), Brenden Gibbs, Michael Smrcina (Alicia), Carley Smrcina, Collin Breit, Alec Breit (Graciela) and Chandler Breit; his great grandchildren, Ava Gibbs, Brielle Gibbs, Auden Ogles, Willow Smrcina, Farren Ogles and Truman Breit; and his sister Charlotte "Tootsie" Yonker (Stan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
