It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Joy VanderVelde of Muskegon, Michigan, born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, who passed away on February 23, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bonifield and Violet Bonifield (Armstrong); her husband Willard "Bill" VanderVelde; and her brothers, Larry and Gordon.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Andrew "Drew" VanderVelde, Meagan VanderVelde and Susan Smith (Joshua); her great grandchildren, Estelle VanderVelde and Rosalind Smith; her brother Ken Bonifield (Teresa); and her sister-in-law Barbara Bonifield.
