He is survived by: his wife Joyce Christianson; his children, Mark Karis (Lisa), Greg Karis (Carol) and Mary Wierda (Bruce); his grandchildren, Allison Harrington (Kevin), Britney Karis (Marcus Rodgers), Brandon Karis (Kelly), Amanda Collett (James), Heather Johnson (Nate), Ashley Melchert (Justin), Melissa Hicks (Derek) and Shelly Johnson (Devon); his great grandchild Papou; his brothers, Paul Karis (Mary Ann), Bill Karis (Jeanne) and Othon Karis (Kristi); and his cousins, Marcia Pinault (Paul) and Harry Karis (Nancy). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
