She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Williams and Rosa Williams; her husband David Gathers; her son Ronald Gathers; her sisters, Dorothy and Gladys "Hella Mae"; and her son-in-law Benny Bankhead.
She is survived by: her grandson Tyrone Gathers of Florida; and her daughter-in-law Willie Mae of Texas. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
