She was predeceased by : her parents, Luanna Sims and Harvey Sims Sr.; and her siblings, Harvey Sims Jr., Kenneth Sims Sr., Earnest Sims Sr., Jimmie Sims Sr., Florine Wilson, Annie Lou Willis, Francis Sims and Florence Jones.

She is survived by : her family Betty Jean; and her sons, Isaac Sims, James Sims (T'Nesha) and Larry Sims. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
