He was predeceased by: his parents, Boone Adkins and Sallie Adkins (Baldridge). He is survived by: his wife Margie Mays; his children, Mike Adkins, Marty Adkins and Amy Montgomery (Steve); his grandchildren, Nick, Mitchell, Julia Adkins, Michael Adkins, Justin, Hannah, Caleb Montgomery (Ayleana), Madie Lilley (Kyle) and Mason Gee-Montgomery (Brooke); his great grandchildren, Alaina Adkins and Elijah Montgomery; and his brother Earl Adkins of Melrose, FL..
