He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Dorothy; his parents-in-law, Roy and Jean Graves; and his brother Clifford Kolbus.
He is survived by: his wife Toni Kolbus of Munising; his children, Tammy Lindeblad (Scott) of Munising, Rob Kolbus (Kristine) of Munising and Brad Kolbus (Kathy) of Munising; his grandchildren, Jennifer Xiong (Steve), Jordan Lindeblad (Abbey Burns), Kevin Wright (Kelsey), Blake Wright, Nick Rousseau (Laura), Samantha Charlton (John), Kenny McCoy (Angela) and Sarah Romatz (Nick); his great grandchildren, Lucas, Logan, Gracelyn, Jace, Evelyn, Dekklan, Kroven, Vallow and Mila; and his siblings, John Kolbus (Carolyn), Constance Kolbus-Folz (Theo) and Katherine Rodgers (Art). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to be made in his name to the Munising Baptist Church.
