He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Mattson and Florence Mattson (Twork); and his brothers, John, James and Gary (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Julie Hahn (Gary) of Portage, MI, Eddie Mattson (Ann) of Iron Mountain, MI and Matt Mattson of Munising Michigan; his grandchildren, E. J., Emily, Frankie, Anthony, Noah, Lori, Jacob, Isabelle, Kate and Trey; his siblings, Dorene Sidbeck (John) of Streamwood, IL, Alice Dover (Bud) of Claremore, OK and Charles (Erica) of Irmo, SC; and his sisters-in-law, Helen Mattson of Munising, Dianne Mattson of Streamwood, IL and Lee Schultz of Allegan, MI.. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
His family requests donations be made to the Tim LeVeque Sports fund at Munising High School.
