He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Thoune and Josephine Thoune (Bushonville); his wife Shirley Winter; his siblings, Mag Machalk (Lou), Emanual Thoune (Hank), Bob Thoune (Ernie), Glen Thoune (Theresa), Margie Pecott (Donald), Joyce "Doot" Sonny Mikus, Clyde Thoune and Peter "Chum" Thoune, Jr. (Shirley); and his brothers-in-law, James Laurin and Ronnie Winter.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Thoune (Sandy) of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy Kallio (Bruce) of Chatham and Bruce Thoune of Munising; his granddaughters, Brenda (Brian), Maggie, Kara, Deanna (Matt) and Makayla (Joe); his sister Doris Laurin of Johnson Creek, WI; and his parents-in-law, Pat, Lee Winters and Mary Winter. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
