She was predeceased by: her parents, William Rudell and Edna Rudell (Kuehnemund); her husband Howard P. Diehl; her son-in-law Charles M. Howey; her grandson Peter Howey; and her siblings, Lillian Wagner and Neil Rudell.

She is survived by: her children, Joyce Howey, Kathleen Erndt, Howard O. Diehl (Jeanne) and Susan Schlicker (James); her grandchildren, Trish Hannon (James), Stacy Gilmore (Nick), Chad Erndt (Susan), Mary Misiak (Ben), Tim Diehl (Becky), Dan Schlicker (Chelsea) and Steve Schlicker (Ashley); her great grandchildren, David, Jonathan, Sydney, Maddie, Leif, Ember, Ashley, Michael, Abigail, Robert, Holly, James and Elliot; and her siblings, Evelyn Dinsmoore (Stan), Marge Sieja and Harvey Rudell (Donna Gibson). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Brian's House or Trinity St. James Lutheran Church.
