She was predeceased by: her parents, Claud E. Bigsby and Edith P. Bigsby (Dreger); her husband William Donald Barr; her children, Richard D. Barr (Sandy), Timothy D. Barr, Randy, Brian, Danny and Phyllis; and her granddaughter Brittany L. Ferguson.
She is survived by: her children, William D. Barr (Lynn), Linda J. Rutz (Leo), Patricia A. VanHouten (Michael), Karen S. Barr-Ferguson (Steven) and Mary J. Fitzpatrick (Larry); her daughter-in-law Sandy Barr; her grandchildren, Amy Reisbig (Jim), Deb Barr, Bill Barr, Janessa Barr, Aaron Rutz (Anne), Micah Rutz (Nina), Seth Rutz (Tera), Jessica Lamp (Eric), Danette Nordhof (Dan), Brianne Pitchford (Ken), Beth Haverstick (Rick), Rick Barr, Mark Barr (Carmen), Gregory VanHouten, Rebecca Harrison (Nate), Kristin VanHouten, Joshua VanHouten (Miranda), Michael VanHouten, Sarah VanHouten, Mackenzie VanHouten and Allie Ferguson; and her close friends, Sandy Hair (George), Helena Platte, Gary and Bernie Fletcher. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Alma's honor will be put towards establishing a Grand Champion Cake Award in Ionia Free Fair open class baking.
