He was predeceased by: his parents, Doyle McDonald and Marjorie McDonald (McLachlin); his brothers, Stanley and Jim McDonald; his parents-in-law, Ray and Irene Tilmann; and his brothers-in-law, Dale, Russell, Neal and Dean Tilmann.
He is survived by: his wife Anne McDonald of Mt. Pleasant; his daughters, Michelle O'Brien (Mark) of Chicago and Melissa McDonald (Greg Bevel) of Detroit; his granddaughter Olivia; his aunt Agnes McDonald; and his sisters-in-law, Rose Tilmann of Jackson, Lola Langlois (Ed) of Shepherd, Amy Orzol (Duane) of Sacramento, CA, Barb Tilmann of Weidman and Kathy Tilmann of Weidman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
