He was predeceased by: his parents, Nester Higgins and Mary Ann Higgins (Power); his wife Glenda Kanine; his daughters, MaryAnne and Jami Lynn Higgins; and his close friends, Gary and Dan Hackett.
He is survived by: his daughter Rebecca Eastman of Mt. Pleasant; his grandchildren, Ashley Davis of St. Louis, Sean Kersting of Muskegon and Kristopher Wood of Phoenix, AZ; his sister Charlene Battleshaw (Raymond) of Weidman; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Cross (Mike), Christine Yuncker (Randy), Shellie Battleshaw (Gary) and Steve Battleshaw (Nikki). He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
