He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Stokes and Treva Stokes (Oakley); his wife Margaret Ann Ebersol; and his siblings, Henry Thomas Stokes, Robert Stokes, Charles Stokes and Edith Campbell.
He is survived by: his sons, Alan Stokes (Anne) of Holt, MI and Michael Stokes (Tanya) of Holt, MI; his grandchildren, Rebecca Stokes, Jacob Stokes and Jonathan Stokes; and his sister Ducky Kingsolver (Max).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Pleasant First Church of the Nazarene in Richard's name.
