He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred, Sr. Peters and Julia Peters (Otto); his mother-in-law Beatrice Peters; his siblings, Betty Otto and Wilfred Peters, Jr.; his sisters-in-law, Josephine Jackson, Caroline Pelcher and Beverly Vasquez; and his aunt Mary Shawagon.
He is survived by: his former wife Helen Pelcher; his wife Helen Peters; his children, Theresa Jackson (Darryl), Renee Peters, Julie Hinmon (Mitch) and Lance Peters; his grandchildren, Joelle, Kevin, Stephen, Robert, Maggie, Zack, Julia, Erica, Novaly, Kataya and Aleeya; his great grandchildren, Josclynn, Kenisynn, Anistynn and Kamerynn; his siblings, Nicki Perez, Patricia Peters, Anne Peters, Garland Moses, DeJay Elk, Larry Pelcher (Vicki), Harry Pelcher (Denise), Sue Durfee (Bill), Ruth Moses and Donna Peters; his uncle Richard Peters; and his nieces, Denise Peters and Michelle Price. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
