He was predeceased by: his parents, William Richards and Merle Richards (Gerard); his son Jeffrey L. Richards; and his son-in-law Steven Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Florence Richards; his children, Lori Sue Johnson of Ionia and Michael J. Richards of Mt. Pleasant; his granddaughter Saoirse D. Johnson of Spartanburg, SC; his siblings, Noreen Frederick of Skandia, MI and Dale Richards (Beth) of Belleville, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Walker of Edmore and Yvonne Krellwitz (Jim) of Ishpeming. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
