It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dan Edward Moeggenberg of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, born in Saint Louis, Michigan, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Moeggenberg and Edith Moeggenberg (Richmond); his former wife Kathleen Smith-Moeggenberg; his son Nicholas Mellios; and his siblings, Ken Moeggenberg, Rod Moeggenberg and Dean Moeggenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Steinman; his children, Angela Barton (Tom) of Perry, Ben Moeggenberg (Madga) of Perry, Jamie Moeggenberg of Perry, Cheri Vallance of Charlevoix and Stephen Mellios of Traverse City; his siblings, Carolyn Arsalant of Pennsylvania and Ted Moeggenberg (Bev) of Alma; and his in-laws, Nola Moeggenberg of Alma and Helen Murphy of Bath. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren.
