It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Jean Hansen of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, who passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Machuta and Ruth Machuta (Bowers); her husband Leroy Hansen; her granddaughter Lisa Wolfe; and her siblings, Margaret Machuta, Ben Machuta and Ken Machuta.
She is survived by: her children, Sherlyn Squires (Joe), Rod Hansen (Lin) and Linda Dawson (John); her grandchildren, Deb Romeo (Chris), Paul Squires (Holly), Phil Squires (Alicia), Ryan Hansen (Cristin), Nathaniel Dawson (Reanna) and Nicole Williams (Paul); her grandson-in-law Greg Wolfe; and her brother Tom Machuta. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Friends of Israel Initiative (FOII), with envelopes available at the funeral chapel and church.
