It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betsy Jean Banta of Mount Pleasant, Michigan, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
Though Betsy Jean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Betsy Jean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank E. Mathison and Lavonne A. Mathison; and her sisters, Sally Middleton, Nancy Dunlap and Linda Duiven.
She is survived by: her nieces, Stephanie Arthur of Seattle, WA. and Jan Duiven (Michael Spencer) of Eugene, OR..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Strickland Baptist Church (10023 S Green Rd, Shepherd, MI 48883). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery (740 S Mission Rd, Mt Pleasant, MI 48858).
