She was predeceased by: her parent Janet Huffman (Ward); and her grandparents, Brahm and Agnes Ward. She is survived by: her daughters, Megan Joplin and Ammi Douglas; her grandchildren, Zephaniah, Anne, Shawnette, Katarina, Michael, Jesse II, Tyler and Matthew; her great grandchildren, Mariyah, Laveah, Reginald, Omari, Jesse III and Tyler; and her siblings, Andrea Burak (Phil), Kim Flesher (Dan) and Troy Campbell (Becky). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made payable to Andrea Burak to go toward a fund for Velvet's grandchildren.
