He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Leineke and Nellie Leineke (Taylor); and his siblings, Helen Sutton, Lois Stanley and Jim Knibbs.

He is survived by: his children, Chris Leineke (Sylvia), Timothy Leineke (Ashley) and Julie Schriner (Kevin); his grandson Brady Schriner; and his sister Rosemary Smith.
