With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Jane Burleson of Mount Morris, Michigan, who passed away on January 21, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Rita Jane is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Rita Jane's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Hicks and Mildred Hicks (Santie); and her sister Rhonda Hicks. She is survived by: her children, John Burleson III, Kandice Bustamante (Mario Figueroa) and Brandy Burleson; her grandsons, Zachary Gower, Tyler Purdey and Mario Figueroa Jr.; and her friend Karen.
