He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Roy Bannister and Beverly Lynn Williamson; his grandson Sebastian; and his former wife Cheryl. He is survived by: his wife Valarie; his children, Randi Bannister, Raydean Butterfield (Drew), William "Billy" Bannister (Crystal), James "Jimmy" Bannister (Madalyn), Justin Sass (Kelly), Zachary Sass, Jason Sass, Tiffany Snyder (Tim), Patrick Saylor, Austin and Blake Burpee; his grandchildren, Granger, Dakota, Jaxson, Gracie, Kinsley, Teagan, Josslyn, Morgan, Riley, Logan, Lauren, Reagan, Rowan, Ryann, Serenity, Alisia, Skylar, Kayden and Jaden; and his brothers, Dan Bannister (Susan) and Mike (Cindy).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes - Durand Chapel (501 N Saginaw St, Durand, MI 48429).
