He is survived by: his wife Carol Failla; his children, Daniel Shipley Smith (Jennifer Johnson), Ellen Marie Cullen (Paul Bilodeau), Christopher Alexander Eschenburg (Shannon), Timothy Robert Eschenburg and Rebecca Marie Woolard (Lucas); his sisters, Karen Hunke (Timothy) and Cheryl Wells; and his siblings-in-law, Alan M. Failla (Margaret), Susan M. Jekielek (Thomas) and Betty Lou Szczotka (Thomas).
