For Donald is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ehrke and Angeline Ehrke; his wife Dianne M. Thomas; and his sister Patricia Strauchman. He is survived by: his children, Deneen Torkelson (late Eric) and Donald Ehrke, Jr. (Mary Beth); his grandson Clifford Ehrke; and his nephew Kevin Strauchman.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, Inc. (140 S Main St, Mt Clemens, MI 48043). The lying in state will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (38900 Harper, Clinton Twp, MI 48036). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be addressed to the Hardt/Rathe Scholarship Fund or the Helping Appalachian Rural People Fund (HARP).
