He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Patricia Barnard of Carson City; his sisters, Carol Lee Barnard of Boise and Dona Lambart (Rodney) of Crystal; his nephews, Patrick Barnard (Bonnie) of Detroit, Timothy Barnard (Nita) of Emmett and Jeremy Eastman (Samantha) of Boise, Idaho; his father Robert Barnard; and his sister Linda Lee Barnard.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Simpson Family Funeral Homes (246 S Main St, Sheridan, MI 48884). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Evergreen Township Cemetery (1508 E Muskrat Rd, Sheridan, MI 48884).
